Dear colleagues,
In 2027, Positive Psychotherapy will celebrate its 50th anniversary since its foundation by Nossrat Peseschkian. To mark this important milestone, WAPP has launched a large international history project dedicated to documenting the development of Positive Psychotherapy across different countries and regions of the world.
Several historical articles and materials from different countries have already been prepared and published, and we would now like to continue expanding this work together with our international community.
Our goal is to collect and preserve information about the origins, growth, milestones, and unique national pathways of Positive Psychotherapy in all regions where PPT is present today.
A special working group has been established to coordinate and support this process. The group serves as a point of contact for any questions or clarifications that may arise and will assist national associations in collecting, structuring, and transferring the information to WAPP. Its aim is to ensure that the historical materials are well-documented, easily accessible, and eventually made visible to the entire PPT community and the wider international audience through WAPP’s communication channels.
We kindly ask you to fill in the document, which provides a simple structure to describe the history of your association, including its founding year, key persons involved, major activities and milestones, as well as any specific national features of the development of Positive Psychotherapy in your context.
In addition to this document, we would also appreciate it if you could send us photographs or other visual materials illustrating important moments, events, or persons in the history of your organization.
Our goal is to create a comprehensive overview of the international expansion of Positive Psychotherapy and to honor the contributions of all countries and individuals who have played a part in its growth.
Please send the completed document and any accompanying materials to the WAPP History Group at: gerybencheva@gmail.com
For any questions or further assistance, you may also contact the coordinator of this project, Gergana Bencheva: gerybencheva@gmail.com
We deeply appreciate your collaboration and your ongoing work for the development of Positive Psychotherapy worldwide.
With warm regards,
WAPP Head Office of behalf of
