About the book

This book presents the life story of the founder of Positive and Transcultural Psychotherapy, Professor Nossrat Peseschkian, MD.

Nossrat Peseschkian was born in Iran and later found Germany to be his second home. He established an innovative, holistic approach to psychotherapy in which Eastern and Western wisdom are interwoven. Through Positive Psychotherapy, intercultural dialogue can become a constructive force for shaping a peaceful future.

Throughout his productive life, in addition to authoring 30 books and hundreds of scientific articles, Nossrat Peseschkian traveled extensively around the world, participated in conferences, and conducted training courses. Through these activities, he educated generations of psychotherapists and academic teachers who today, after him and in continuation of his method, are active in more than 65 countries worldwide.

This book not only recounts the rich life history of Nossrat Peseschkian but also offers direct insights into some of the principles and methods of Positive Psychotherapy.
