Candidates for the Elections of the WAPP Board 2024-2026
Dear WAPP Members,
As previously announced, the election for the WAPP Executive Board for the term 2024-2026 is underway. These democratic elections provide a unique opportunity for members to select their future leadership directly.
This year, we received a total of 36 nominations – thank you for showing your trust and confidence in these candidates! Of those nominated, 19 individuals from 10 different countries have accepted their nominations, while others declined for personal reasons.
You are now invited to vote for seven (7) of these 19 candidates. The seven candidates with the highest number of votes will become our new Board members. Following the election, the Board will internally elect or appoint its officers, including the chairperson/president and other roles.
Voting Process:
The election will be conducted exclusively through electronic voting. You will receive an individual email from our election platform, “Election Runner,” containing a unique election link and voter ID. Please use this link and ID to submit your vote.
Eligibility:
Voting is open to all full, associate, and institutional WAPP members who have paid their membership fees for 2024. Institutional member representatives (Centers or Associations) will also receive a second email with a unique voter ID to cast the institutional vote.
Voting Period:
– Start: Monday, 11 November 2024, 00:01 CET
– End: Sunday, 24 November 2024, 23:59 CET
Voting Instructions:
– Each voter may cast exactly 7 votes.
– Please vote for 7 different candidates.
As this is a democratic election free of campaigning, each nominee has completed a questionnaire to provide insight into their background and vision. Their self-descriptions are available below (in alphabetical order).
