Collaborate with us
WAPP maintains affiliations with several prominent organizations and institutions in the fields of psychotherapy and mental health. These include the World Federation for Psychotherapy (WFP), the European Association for Psychotherapy (EAP), the International Academy for Positive and Transcultural Psychotherapy (IAPP), and the Wiesbaden Academy for Psychotherapy (WIAP), a postgraduate training institute founded by Nossrat Peseschkian, the creator of Positive Psychotherapy. WAPP also collaborates with Fresenius Psychological University in Wiesbaden, Germany, supporting academic programs and initiatives that integrate Positive Psychotherapy into higher education and research.
Additionally, WAPP has established contracts with several universities in Ukraine to promote and facilitate the teaching of Positive Psychotherapy within their academic curricula. This collaboration underscores WAPP’s commitment to fostering international academic partnerships and advancing the global reach of Positive Psychotherapy.
Centers and National AssociationsOrganization of training seminars
If you wish to offer trainings in your country, WAPP will be happy to assist you in organizational aspects or in establishing an official training Center for Positive Psychotherapy in your town.

Our certified WAPP trainers are self-employed and are free to set their time schedules and trainer fees. WAPP does not send trainers nor does it define standard trainer fees. Daily fees for training seminars are to be negotiated individually. Depending on the countries involved (trainer’s home country, country in which a training is held) the daily fee spans from approx. 50 EUR to 500 EUR.
For further questions please contact the Head Office.
The trainings are conducted by approx. 150 Basic and Master Course trainers from many different countries. Please notice that WAPP only certifies trainings offered by official WAPP trainers.
Please check our trainer list for officially accredited trainers.
Newly started training courses or single Positive Psychotherapists in one country can form groups and inform WAPP about their activities. So WAPP can recommend them as contact persons or communicate their training dates.
To guarantee the quality of teaching and training according to WAPP criteria, WAPP offers training institutes or groups to make an agreement and become an officially recognized Center or Association for Positive Psychotherapy. Here is a sample agreement for your information.
To become a Center for Positive Psychotherapy a training organizer or training institute needs to have successfully organized and finished one Basic Course training.
Everyone who wishes to establish a Center is free to choose any name he/she likes for it, except for two terms that are reserved for research and academic level and for state accredited organizations: these are “institute” and “academy”. Please consider that an academy or institute has to have a sound academic background and high level academic staff. WAPP will not cooperate with training centers using these terms in their names while they are not reflecting the according scientific background. We are jeopardizing the reputation of Positive and Transcultural Psychotherapy if we use academic terms carelessly and inappropriately.
National Associations for Positive Psychotherapy are established by all official Centers of one country. The Association serves a better networking between its member training institutes, organizes national events, and deals with all kinds of national issues, such as psychotherapy regulations and official accreditation.
