NEW CALL: Invitation to new working group “PPT in non-therapeutic areas”
Dear colleagues,
We would like to warmly invite interested Positive Psychotherapists to join a new exploratory working group on Positive and Transcultural Psychotherapy in non-therapeutic areas.
During our recent Membership Committee meeting, we discussed the need to develop this important “second wing” of PPT: not only as a clinical psychotherapeutic method, but also as a positive and transcultural approach that may support education, social work, humanitarian projects, intercultural communication, community mental health, organizational life, and other non-clinical contexts.
The working group will explore how core PPT concepts — including the Balance Model, capacities, transcultural perspective, resource orientation and conflict transformation — can be translated into responsible, ethical and practical forms for wider social use.
As a first step, we would like to gather colleagues who are interested in this topic, discuss possible fields of application, and choose one concrete pilot project that could later be developed, evaluated and possibly published.
All WAPP members and Positive Psychotherapists who feel connected with this topic are warmly invited to join.
If you would like to participate, please let us know by sending a reply to wapp@positum.org.
