Discover the World Association for Positive and Transcultural Psychotherapy (WAPP), where every individual is valued and supported to thrive. Founded in 1996, WAPP promotes global mental health through Positive Psychotherapy (PPT after Peseschkian, since 1977).
WAPP is dedicated to advancing Positive Psychotherapy, promoting its theory, methodology, and practical application worldwide. We offer comprehensive training programs for postgraduate professionals in psychotherapy, family therapy, psychosomatics, and counselling, ensuring that practitioners receive the necessary skills and knowledge to make a meaningful impact in their communities.
The Association consists of individual members, national associations, national and regional training institutes, centers, and representative offices.
WAPP has reached over 3000 members from 65 countries across 6 continents.
More than 170 trainers are part of our community, enabling access to education in Positive Psychotherapy (courses) in over 20 countries.

WAPP promotes the theory, method and practice of Positive Psychotherapy. It is engaged in the training of postgraduate professionals in psychotherapy, family therapy and counseling all over the world.
In addition, WAPP organizes workshops, lectures, conferences and seminars pertaining to the different aspects of Positive Psychotherapy as well as transcultural exchange of theories, techniques and research. Our work is in accordance with the Strasbourg Declaration on Psychotherapy.
